Asphalt & Sourcing Alliance (ASA)'s principals and associates have been involved in the asphalt marketplace for more than 60 years — buying, selling and using asphalt for roofing materials and paving applications all over North America.
ASA members have managed and directed asphalt processing and roofing manufacturing operations, and we have worked with key University resources and Agency technical parties to develop effective road mix design.
We have worked with most of North America’s asphalt refiners, sourcing new asphalt materials for our clients or in select cases, coaching select refineries to generate unique materials to expand their market opportunities. We have a well-established presence in the asphalt marketplace and we are recognized as knowledgeable and experienced in what we do.

Roofing buyers demand a more active and visible role in selecting the base or oxidized asphalt, to assure their management and themselves that (i) there are viable supply options being considered, (ii) they are treated fairly in the marketplace, (iii) the asphalt they use will meet their specifications and (iv) their asphalt quality is properly monitored and managed.

ASA will assess the asphalt marketplace for potential sources and secure samples of asphalt that it believes may offer the best opportunity to meet the appropriate specifications for use in manufacturing our clients' product(s).
ASA will investigate the facilities and logistics necessary for our clients to securely expand their asphalt supply, including meeting with tank and equipment vendors as required to best represent our clients' interest. As promising samples are identified and tested for an application, ASA will facilitate meetings between our clients' and those various suppliers to establish a secure asphalt supply and to foster an enduring supply relationship for our client.
ASA acts as a customer advocate for our clients, providing independent assurance that their interests are being monitored and managed effectively, for example: working with third parties such as asphalt processors to efficiently convert a client's asphalt flux into a quality shingle coating.
ASA remains an independent party. Our clients have an active role through ASA to secure their base asphalt, monitor costs, quality and efficiencies of conversion and be assured of their access to asphalt processing capacity.
Confidentiality of information for and between all parties is assured and protected.
